Collaborating with Abacus Group and Fujitsu General Australia has been a particularly rewarding experience.

Together with the Abacus Group sustainability team, we’re applying our mechanical engineering expertise to create clear and achievable strategies to help reach their sustainability commitments.

This video case study highlights the recent upgrades at The Oasis Broadbeach and 14 Martin Place in Sydney, using Fujitsu AIRSTAGE chillers. To view the complete version, visit our website.

Success of these projects is down to the planning and project management of our Gold Coast and Sydney teams.

Our full case study goes even further. By leveraging data analytics and IoT technologies, we’re able to continuously monitor, report on and improve building performance and the indoor air environment, and deliver data driven strategies.

It is such a pleasure to work with like-minded organisations who share a passion for seeking out innovative solutions. Together, we’re pushing the boundaries of technology, driving growth, and creating a brighter future.

Collaboration, planning and safety systems critical for high rise installations https://www.preciseair.com.au/collaboration-planning-and-safety-systems-critical-for-high-rise-installations/ Thu, 23 May 2024 23:29:37 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=18190 This weekend, we installed the latest AIRSTAGE chiller from Fujitsu General Australia at 14 Martin Place for Abacus Group.

The skill shown by the riggers from SP Rigging and the Borger Cranes operator made the whole process look effortless. The operation required a team of riggers to remove the external louvre to the level 9 plant room and carefully manoeuvre the multi-ton unit into a narrow opening between high-rise buildings. Moving it into the plant room was like threading a needle.

Safety was our top priority, so we meticulously planned every step and followed stringent safety precautions for this high-risk operation. Even with Sydney’s unpredictable weather, we were blessed with clear skies during the four-hour window for the crane lift.

Overall, we’re really proud of how everyone came together to complete this complex installation with such precision and teamwork. Great work Navid Hamidi and Jerry Timor.

Collaborating with Abacus Group to optimise indoor environments https://www.preciseair.com.au/collaborating-with-abacus-group-to-optimise-indoor-environments/ Mon, 24 Jul 2023 21:57:41 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17775 What started as an opportunity in 2019 to service an Abacus Group shopping centre on the Gold Coast quickly grew into a portfolio of retail and commercial sites throughout QLD and NSW.

This expansion, in both size and scope of services (to include HVAC, fire, HVAC hygiene and building performance optimisation) is a result of the collaborative partnership formed with Abacus Group to help create exceptional value and experiences for their tenants.

“Abacus facility mangers actively engage in the management of their assets and encourage two way communication and collaboration,” said Sam La Rocca, Precise Air’s Director National Sales. “They look to us, as experts in our field, for advice, but they also understand that a solution can have many options and are keen to discuss and agree on the best alternative.”

Over the years, Precise Air has partnered with Abacus to help them achieve strategic goals, like helping to bridge gaps in AS 1851 compliance and working with them to bring new properties up to standard, particularly where previous owners were reluctant to spend/ have not spent money.

Monthly sustainability meetings between Precise Air’s Building Performance Optimisation Manager and Abacus Group’s Sustainability Manager focus on identifying trends and opportunities to improve energy efficiency and NABERS ratings through optimisation (which is part of our standard offering) and cost effective upgrades.

“Maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for our tenants and the community is our top priority,” says Paul Finney, Abacus Group’s National Operations & Facilities Manager. “Precise Air’s approach to lifecycle asset management and compliance, building optimisation and proactive maintenance programmes has helped us minimise downtime and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.”

For facility managers, having a reliable and efficient mechanical and fire services provider is of utmost importance. These managers are responsible for overseeing a wide range of critical operations, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety equipment, forecasting and managing budgets.

“We understand the importance of creating optimal conditions within shopping centres and commercial buildings,” explains Sam La Rocca, Precise Air’s Director National Sales. “Our goal is to ensure that the mechanical and fire systems are operating at peak efficiency, providing optimal comfort levels while minimising energy consumption and environmental impact.”

With their proven track record, dedication to quality, and a shared vision for creating safe and comfortable environments, we look forward to continuing a positive, collaborative relationship with Abacus Group.
