At Precise Air Construction, Quality Assurance (QA) is essential. Not only does it ensure consistent, high-quality results, it provides a compliance and documentation framework that helps guide our teams and subcontractors to meet our clients’ project KPIs and commitments.

Martin Hadigol, Precise Air’s Quality Assurance Manager – Construction, has been integral to making sure our externally accredited Quality Management System, originally developed by our National HSEQ team, is fit for purpose for Construction, continuously optimised, and accessible online so that our teams in the field have easy access.

This includes developing a clear construction strategy, managing documents effectively, mapping processes, setting over 85 KPIs across all processes and personnel, and enhancing our reporting system. Martin has also provided comprehensive training for our team and subcontractors, covering various QA requirements and process management.

Our QA system integrates various online platforms, including Nintex Promapp for process management and Procore for project management, a platform that improves communication, collaboration and compliance with our approved subcontractors. These tools enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and improve quality management.

“Focusing on making the system user-friendly and practical has led to widespread acceptance among our team and subcontractors,” explained Martin. “By aligning changes with daily tasks and demonstrating their benefits, we’ve fostered a positive attitude towards adoption, improving overall efficiency and satisfaction within the division.”

For more information about Precise Air’s construction capabilities, Please contact Alex Hadigol, General Manager Construction.

* Since 2016, we have implemented Integrated Management Systems (IMS) at Precise Air Construction, including ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety. These systems are externally audited and accredited by GIS, an international certification body. In September 2023, we passed our latest audit, with no adverse findings.

AIRSTAGE TurboCor chiller training underway https://www.preciseair.com.au/airstage-turbocor-chiller-training-underway/ Thu, 18 Apr 2024 22:18:40 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=18124 Training is underway on the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE TurboCor chillers for Precise Air technicians in QLD and NSW.

The first sessions were conducted by the Italian Factory chiller expert Roberto Tondo at The Oasis Broadbeach where a 600kw and 1600kw chiller are being installed. Replacing the original chillers that were reaching end of life, the new AIRSTAGE chillers use Danfoss TurboCor compressors and the HFO refrigerant R513a that has a Global Warming Potential of 573, which achieves a reduction of 56% compared to commonly used refrigerant R134a.

Thank you to Fujitsu’s Kyle Rafter and Dave Smith, and to Paul Finney and the team at The Oasis Broadbeach for hosting the training sessions on site.

Lending a helping hand https://www.preciseair.com.au/lending-a-helping-hand/ Thu, 11 Apr 2024 23:02:43 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=18115 Precise Air Group’s leadership team applied their engineering skills to building prosthetic hands for people in developing countries who have lost limbs due to accidents or landmines. It took the teams under an hour to assemble these life-changing prosthetics from over 30 pieces of plastic and metal for the Helping Hands charity.

Worldwide, over 300,000 people have lost limbs to landmines, 20% of these are children. The cost of traditional prosthetics in developing countries is around $3,000, so any contribution that our community can make through this ‘hands’ is welcomed.

Helping Hands is just 5,000 prosthetics away from their goal to provide 30,000 hands by 2030. We were all very proud that we could make a profound difference in the lives of those halfway around the world and contribute to this goal.

Thank you to the team at Bechallenged for providing us with the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause.

This project serves as a reminder of the difference that engineering can have on society, and we’re proud to be part of a community that strives to use our skills to help achieve these great results.

Precise Air Aboriginal Pathways (PAAP) https://www.preciseair.com.au/precise-air-aboriginal-pathways-paap/ Sun, 26 Nov 2023 20:50:13 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17946 One of the first initiatives arising from the development of our Reflect RAP* this year is the Precise Air Aboriginal Pathways (PAAP) programme.

Developed over nine months this year, the PAAP is a great example of industry working with TAFE NSW Aboriginal Education and Engagement team and the AES to create a programme that leads to real employment outcomes. It combines apprenticeships and employment opportunities with Precise, with ongoing mentoring, learning and cultural support throughout their apprenticeships.

Our aim is to contribute towards initiatives that help to ‘close the gap’ by providing work readiness training, skills and employment opportunities to Aboriginal apprentices and cadets within a culturally appropriate framework. Ultimately, it will result in direct employment opportunities with Precise Air.

The PAAP consists of 4 components:

Phase 1: 5 day off-site course held in Grafton for prospective apprentices and cadets that encourages developing deep connections between all participants that includes:

Phase 2: Interviews and employment with Precise. Up to 6 positions are available including apprenticeships in Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, and business administration cadets

Phase 3: Ongoing ‘block’ training for apprentices in Grafton, providing educational support and deepening
connections within the cohort

Phase 4: 12 months of ongoing mentoring and support from AES, and mentoring and learning support from TAFE NSW for the duration of the apprenticeships.

This programme is the result of an exciting collaboration between the TAFE NSW Aboriginal Education and Engagement team and the AES (Aboriginal Employment Strategy).

For more information, please contact Group Marketing and Communications Manager, Kelly Borskjaer.

*Our Reflect RAP currently has conditional approval.

Precise Air awarded Parramatta Square Mechanical Services Maintenance https://www.preciseair.com.au/precise-air-awarded-parramatta-square-mechanical-services-maintenance/ Thu, 31 Aug 2023 03:18:46 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17825 Precise Air is proud to announce that we have been awarded the HVAC services contract for the commercial towers within Sydney’s premium Parramatta Square by Walker.

An urban transformation delivered by Walker Corporation, the Parramatta Square Precinct is one of Australia’s largest commercial business precincts and includes 6 & 8 Parramatta Square, Australia’s largest CBD commercial office building in Australia (by Gross Floor Area). It seamlessly integrates commercial office space with convenient retail and dining options, comprising premium A-grade commercial towers with 240,000 square metres of new office and retail space around a new 10,000 square metre public domain.

“Parramatta Square is a great example of Walker Corporation’s expertise in designing projects that integrate ecologically sustainable practises with leading edge engineering and technology, delivering amenity that serves the community,” said Sam La Rocca, Precise Air’s Director National Sales. “We are excited to be partnering with Walker to deliver data driven maintenance and optimisation that will continue to drive energy efficiency, helping them to meet their net zero targets.”

The commercial office towers range from 6 Star Green Star ratings As Built and/or Interiors, through to 5.5 Star NABERS Indoor Environment Ratings and base building Energy Commitment Agreements, providing high occupant comfort and wellbeing without compromising energy and water efficiency.

A key component of the contract is a commitment between Walker Corporation and Precise Air to work together to utilise the existing technologies within the towers to move from a standard calendar based planned maintenance strategy to one that predicts maintenance works based on digital fault-finding, condition assessment or predictive algorithm.

“This approach will enhance the sites efficiency, provide costs savings and extend the longevity of the HVAC assets.” Alex Denby, Regional Operations Manager, Walker.

“We are thrilled to have Precise Air managing the HVAC assets within the PSQ precinct. Their innovative approach aligns with our commitment to efficiency and sustainability. Together we aim to set a new standard for HVAC maintenance, creating a more comfortable, reliable environment for all who utilise the space”.

Precise Air is fast becoming the leading HVAC services provider in Parramatta. Our Parramatta Commercial Property team of 6 technicians services more than 40 commercial sites throughout the city. As with all our contracts within Parramatta, we will be self-delivering all services except the handful requiring OEM involvement. Kitchen exhaust cleaning will be done via our sister company Airgene.

Collaborating with Abacus Group to optimise indoor environments https://www.preciseair.com.au/collaborating-with-abacus-group-to-optimise-indoor-environments/ Mon, 24 Jul 2023 21:57:41 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17775 What started as an opportunity in 2019 to service an Abacus Group shopping centre on the Gold Coast quickly grew into a portfolio of retail and commercial sites throughout QLD and NSW.

This expansion, in both size and scope of services (to include HVAC, fire, HVAC hygiene and building performance optimisation) is a result of the collaborative partnership formed with Abacus Group to help create exceptional value and experiences for their tenants.

“Abacus facility mangers actively engage in the management of their assets and encourage two way communication and collaboration,” said Sam La Rocca, Precise Air’s Director National Sales. “They look to us, as experts in our field, for advice, but they also understand that a solution can have many options and are keen to discuss and agree on the best alternative.”

Over the years, Precise Air has partnered with Abacus to help them achieve strategic goals, like helping to bridge gaps in AS 1851 compliance and working with them to bring new properties up to standard, particularly where previous owners were reluctant to spend/ have not spent money.

Monthly sustainability meetings between Precise Air’s Building Performance Optimisation Manager and Abacus Group’s Sustainability Manager focus on identifying trends and opportunities to improve energy efficiency and NABERS ratings through optimisation (which is part of our standard offering) and cost effective upgrades.

“Maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for our tenants and the community is our top priority,” says Paul Finney, Abacus Group’s National Operations & Facilities Manager. “Precise Air’s approach to lifecycle asset management and compliance, building optimisation and proactive maintenance programmes has helped us minimise downtime and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.”

For facility managers, having a reliable and efficient mechanical and fire services provider is of utmost importance. These managers are responsible for overseeing a wide range of critical operations, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety equipment, forecasting and managing budgets.

“We understand the importance of creating optimal conditions within shopping centres and commercial buildings,” explains Sam La Rocca, Precise Air’s Director National Sales. “Our goal is to ensure that the mechanical and fire systems are operating at peak efficiency, providing optimal comfort levels while minimising energy consumption and environmental impact.”

With their proven track record, dedication to quality, and a shared vision for creating safe and comfortable environments, we look forward to continuing a positive, collaborative relationship with Abacus Group.

For more information, please contact Sam La Rocca on 1300 728 250.
