Precise Air Group is a Finalist in the JLL Vendor Awards https://www.preciseair.com.au/precise-air-group-has-been-shortlisted-as-a-finalist-in-the-jll-vendor-awards/ Thu, 07 Sep 2023 00:43:20 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17865 Precise Air Group is thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted as a Finalist in the JLL Vendor Awards 2023 – Excellence in Health & Safety Innovations Category.

Like all workplaces, we acknowledge that facility managers and building owners have a duty of care to ensure that all hazards are identified and managed as best as reasonably practicable, to protect occupants, visitors, and their clients’ assets.

Precise Air Group’s National HSEQ team designed a fast and efficient online hazard reporting system using LinkSafe, harnessing technology to improve hazard identification, reporting and escalation on client managed sites.

This solution was borne out of Precise Air Group’s “IT’s OK TO SAY NO” commitment to its workers, to STOP, EVALUATE & ESCALATE if ever they feel at risk in carrying out a task.

Congratulations to Richard Bagnato and Michelle Feldman in developing our solution, and providing the training, and special thanks to our Team Leaders whose proactive implementation of the solution has made this nomination possible.

Steffan Goring, Precise Air’s new General Manager – Victoria and Tasmania. https://www.preciseair.com.au/steffan-goring-precise-airs-new-general-manager-victoria-and-tasmania/ Sun, 30 Jul 2023 22:43:59 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17785 Please join us in welcoming Steffan Goring, Precise Air’s new General Manager – Victoria and Tasmania.

Steffan brings a wealth of technical and industry knowledge, customer engagement and strategic operational management expertise that he developed in his previous roles with BSA, AG Coombs and Schneider Electric. This skill set aligns perfectly with the needs of our growing business.

“There are great opportunities to grow the Precise Air Group brand and our self-delivery of mechanical, fire and bundled MFE delivery models in the Victorian market,” said Steffan. “Precise Air’s model allows us to better deliver works and contracts, improving administrative, financial and operational efficiency.”

“One of the keys will be to build a positive, rewarding and collaborative work culture that is focused on honesty and transparency,” said Steffan. “This will provide our team with a great working environment that supports our employees’ growth, leading to excellence in service delivery and customer satisfaction.”

Looking to the future of our industry, Steffan is keenly aware of the need for facility management (FM) providers to reduce their reliance on third party subcontractors. Additionally, he recognises the significance of analytics and data-driven maintenance becoming the norm in our industry.

“The true value lies in harnessing this data effectively and adopting a more holistic approach that goes beyond BMS alarms so that we understand assets and their purposes,” explained Steffan. “This will lead us to a future where the likes of Power BI platforms become the “single pane of glass”, presenting relevant and customised data in a manner that can be managed by a customer to meet their specific needs, providing true value for money outcomes.”

Please join us in congratulating Steffan on his new role.

Precise Air Group’s General Manager HR provides an insight into the challenges facing HVAC resourcing https://www.preciseair.com.au/precise-airs-general-manager-hr-provides-an-insight-into-the-challenges-facing-hvac-resourcing/ Mon, 19 Dec 2022 04:20:43 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17659 We’re excited to introduce you to Marie Dulaurent, Precise Air Group’s General Manager – Human Resources.
Marie took time out from her busy day to provide us with an insight into the challenges facing HR within the mechanical engineering services industry.

Marie, what is your background?

Facing a major restructure at one of the big four banks back in 2004, I decided to take voluntary redundancy and enrolled in Bachelor Business Degree with Double Major in HR and Industrial Relations. From then on, I sought specific roles within mechanical engineering, manufacturing, lighting and service industry to gain more practical industrial relations exposure. I have since graduated with a Master of HR with Distinction in 2019 at WSU.

How long have you worked in HVAC / trade services?

I have worked in trade services since 2011 (German Crane Company) and more recently in HVAC, Mechanical and Fire industries for the last 4 years as General Manager, People & Compliance, overseeing all HR functions, WHSEQ and Compliance.

What are the challenges you see over the next few years?

The global pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on every industry, however we have seen an increased demand for hybrid heating, ventilation and cooling systems to filter indoor air, keep the environment healthy while at the same time ensuring energy efficiency and minimising our environmental footprint.

There is a significant push for more HVAC innovations in general – given our extreme climate conditions and with energy costs continuously rising, there is a real potential for emerging smart HVAC technology focused on sustainability.

The challenge it creates for HR is a shortage of qualified technicians, exacerbated by border closures, however we can certainly work on some strategies starting with our employer branding, showcasing our values of Integrity, Safety, Customers and People, and putting a solid plan in place to promote and/or re-establish an inclusive culture that embodies these values.

With the right tools and approaches, it will put us in good stead to win the war on talent.

In the short time you have been at Precise, what has impressed you?

PAG, from what I have experienced so far, has a good workplace culture where employees have been empowered to put the customers first; they are passionate about their work and about the business.
There is a good structure in place, great policies and perks, and the business has made significant investment in implementing the required tools that will further drive efficiency, productivity and compliance.

With external forces exerting more pressure on organisations, this new regulatory environment creates the need to balance the customer experience and compliance without compromising on either. The leaders have sensed that change is required and have embarked on a journey from top down to instil a process performance culture within PAG while still maintaining focus on delivering service excellence.

What are you looking forward to achieving?

As the dust continues to settle from the pandemic and we come out of crisis mode, I am looking forward to supporting the business strategy by taking a holistic approach to developing a blueprint for the culture we want to have.

Focusing on a renewed attention to the employee experience from recruitment to onboarding, training & development, career progression, reward & recognition, communication and transparency etc and adopting best practice to set expectations for desired behaviours to ensure our business is well-positioned to cope with regulatory change.

I am very excited to be part of that cultural transformation with the Executive team to drive our objectives for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Aligning HVAC, BMS and Facility Maintenance to uplift NABERS ratings https://www.preciseair.com.au/aligning-hvac-bms-and-facility-maintenance-to-uplift-nabers-ratings/ Mon, 30 Aug 2021 23:16:55 +0000 https://www.preciseair.com.au/?p=17432 Congratulations to the team at 2 Parramatta Square, Parramatta on raising the NABERS Energy and Water ratings again with zero capex.

“2 Parramatta Square is a great example of what we can achieve when the HVAC, BMS and FM specialists are aligned in their objectives,” said Wissam Salama, Precise Air’s General Manager Building Performance Optimisation.

Since 2014 Precise Air Group’s Building Performance Optimisation team has worked closely with the BGIS FM team to develop a strategy to improve the performance of the building without the need for major capex spend.

In 2014 the BPO team undertook a programme of fine tuning, implementing a range of initiatives including seasonal deadbands and voting techniques at the terminal level, demand control and variable set points at the plants level, closely tuning thermal plants staging with demand control and variable set points reset, and changes to the chiller strategies.

“This year, our NABERS targets were 5.5 stars for Base Building Energy and 4 stars for Water with zero capex spend,” explained Wissam. “We achieved these by applying our proactive optimisation model and using our human learning strategies to achieve optimal results,” explained Wissam.

If you would like more information about how Precise Air can help you raise the NABERS ratings of your commercial or retail facility, please contact Wissam Salama on 1300 728 250.

Air and Fire great travel companions for Expedia fit out https://www.preciseair.com.au/air-and-fire-great-travel-companions-for-expedia-fit-out/ Sun, 05 Jun 2016 14:00:00 +0000 http://sandbox.kookacreative.com/preciseair/air-and-fire-great-travel-companions-for-expedia-fit-out/ Air and Fire great travel companions for Expedia fit out

Expedia, the global on line travel agency, has recently located its Australian Headquarters over three floors at 1 Martin Place, in the heart of Sydney’s new technology hub.

Precise Air and Precise Fire joined forces to complete the installation and coordination of mechanical and fire services fit outs in this Charter Hall property, on behalf of FDC Construction and Fit Out.

The Precise Fire team completed the installation, coordination and commissioning of the sprinkler services, fire detection, EWIS system and extinguishers, while the Precise Air team installed and commissioned the mechanical services.

“Appointing the Group to deliver both the Fire and Air services provides many benefits to our customers during the design, installation and commissioning phases,” explained Joe Mazza, Director National Business Development.

“It means that we can iron out many of the issues in the office that arise from positioning of the services and programming the installation – and we end up with fewer surprises out on site that could delay works,” Joe continued.

For more information, contact Joe Mazza on 1300 728 250.
