Noble Apprentice Program Award Winner Robby Karam

Noble Apprentice Program 2016 Award Winner Robby Karam with Managing Director Nadeem Tayar

In honour of the memory of one of our outstanding technicians, Chris Noble, we are proud to announce the winner of the Noble Apprentice Program Award is Robby Karam.

Chris Noble, was one of our first technicians to join Precise Air. Devastatingly, we lost Chris in September 2014. Chris joined us at a time when we were starting out and he had the vision, passion and determination to support us through our growth. He was a valued member of the team who always took the time to support, encourage and mentor our apprentices.

In honour of Chris, we developed a formal apprentice recognition program, Noble Apprenticeship Program, with awards presented to the most outstanding apprentices in the program.

“We were proud to present Robby Karam, our Victorian based apprentice, with this award at our Company Roadshow,” said Nadeem Tayar, Managing Director of Precise Air Group.

“We assessed all of the apprentices in the Program against criteria that reflects the behaviours and attitudes we look for in our high achieving employees,” Nadeem explained.

“We have 22 apprentices across the country and the competition was very tight – which is a great indicator of the value of our training. In the end, Robby demonstrated exceptional commitment in his technical capability, contributed to the role and his team and exceeded our expectations regarding his behaviour towards safety, our customers, people and his integrity.”

Robby was presented with an individual trophy, and his name engraved on a perpetual Plaque which is located in the foyer of our Head Office. Robby’s Precise Air uniforms and tool bag will be embroided with this recognition along with $2,500 to purchase tools/equipment from our supplier, ACTROL.

Precise Air is committed to developing the next generation of technicians. Precise Air Group Directors look forward to seeing this program continue to reward and recognize the future of our industry. As a Group, we are proud that we can contribute to the industry and create a positive outcome from such a tragedy.

Chris Noble was a well-loved, valued employee who was one of Precise Air’s longest serving technicians. Chris was highly regarded by his workmates and customers, and was passionate about teaching others. Sadly, he lost his life when he was the innocent victim of an explosion that took place in Rozelle in the early hours of September 4th last year.

To honour Chris’ memory, his colleagues gathered today to take part in the launch of the Chris Noble Apprentice Programme. The Programme will provide a selected number of outstanding trainees with the opportunity to take part in an enhanced apprenticeship programme.

Each year, apprentices in the Programme will be in the running for a number of awards to reward their dedication to learning, to customer service and to how they apply themselves to their work.

Precise Air is committed to developing the next generation of HVAC technicians and currently has 19 apprentices around the country, with plans to recruit more in the coming months. We are proud to launch this programme today in the memory of a technician who displayed excellence in his commitment to the trade, his customers and his company.

Precise Air is proud to announce the development of the Noble Apprenticeship Grant Programme in honour of our dear friend and colleague, Chris Noble.

Chris was a valued member of the Precise Air team who was passionate about the HVAC industry and dedicated to the professional development and training of apprentices. One of our longest serving technicians, Chris was always on hand to offer advice and assist the younger technicians in all aspects of the job, whether it be a technical issue or working with facility managers to give them the best results.

The Noble Apprenticeship Grant Programme offers benefits and training that will encourage and motivate apprentices to become great tradespeople and ambassadors for the HVAC industry. Benefits include participation in the “Noble Apprenticeship Incentive Fund” and remuneration reward scheme, paid employment and on the job customer service and technical training, formal training through TAFE or a registered training organisation and nationally recognised qualifications.

Apprentices within this programme will be eligible to win the annual Chris Noble Apprentice of the Year Award. This will be awarded to the most outstanding Precise Air apprentice that truly embodies the qualities and skills that represent Chris’ commitment to the profession and his clients.

Managing Director Nadeem Tayar said that “Precise Air has a strong tradition of taking on new apprentices each year and continuing to develop and promote them long after they have completed their apprenticeships. This has been driven by the Directors, but also by our dedicated professional tradespeople, particularly Chris.”

“We will be doubling the number of apprentices that we take on nationally next year,” Nadeem continued. “As industry leaders we believe we have an obligation to employ apprentices and develop them into professionals to ensure the longevity of our industry.”

Tragic loss of Precise Air employee Chris Noble https://www.preciseair.com.au/tragic-loss-of-precise-air-employee-chris-noble/ Sun, 07 Sep 2014 14:00:00 +0000 http://sandbox.kookacreative.com/preciseair/tragic-loss-of-precise-air-employee-chris-noble/ Tragic loss of Precise Air employee Chris Noble

We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our most valued employees, Chris Noble, who was tragically lost in a building explosion that took place in Rozelle in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Chris was one of our longest serving technicians and was an integral part of our Precise Air family. He was widely loved by his colleagues and his customers who he worked with daily and requested him by name.

This is undeniably an incredibly difficult event for us to comprehend and has left a huge mark on us all.

Chris was a great friend to many within our company, a great work mate and loyal colleague. With us right from the beginning when we were just starting to grow, Chris demonstrated all the traits you would expect in a typical country born and bred Australian. He was hard working, dedicated and always ready to pitch in and help without complaint.

As difficult as this news has been for us to take in, we can only imagine the grief that his family are going through at the moment.

Our heartfelt thoughts and compassion are with Chris’ family as we endeavour to support them and each other through the difficult times ahead.
