Our Team

In 2002, Directors Sam La Rocca and Joe Mazza established Precise Air, responding to the market’s need for a fresh, flexible alternative to mechanical services. Nadeem Tayar joined Precise Air in 2006, bringing a wealth of commercial experience to the team.

SAM LA ROCCA

DIRECTOR - NATIONAL SALES

Sam is a founding Director of Precise Air and draws upon his energy, drive and commitment in managing the strategic direction of the business, developing client relationships, and ensuring Precise Air becomes our clients’ preferred HVAC service provider. With 20 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, Sam has developed an innovative approach to delivering results-oriented solutions, based upon his broad technical expertise and pragmatic approach. An expert in all aspects of HVAC and a natural business developer, Sam is highly regarded by clients and very well known in the industry.

NADEEM TAYAR

MANAGING DIRECTOR

In 2006 and in the midst of a burgeoning business, Nadeem Tayar joined the team as Managing Director to guide the strategic growth and expansion of the business. Nadeem has drawn upon his extensive business management expertise in overseeing the operational effectiveness of the business. He brings a commercial approach to his role which includes responsibility for recruitment strategy, risk mitigation, contract negotiation, legal compliance and reporting.

TONY SCOTTON

CHAIRMAN

Tony Scotton has extensive experience in the service, manufacturing and distribution industries and currently serves on multiple boards. He previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of SAI Global Limited (ASX:SAI), and prior to this he served as the Managing Director and Chairman of the Construction Products Division of Pacifica Group. Tony holds a Bachelor of Engineering and graduate qualifications in Finance. He provides Precise Air with a combination of strategic insight and management that influences the culture of the business to make sure that the business continues to deliver sustainable and real value to our clients.

MARK HYNES

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Mark leads the central operations team that serves the wider Precise Air business and oversees the Regional Operations, National Accounts and Business Applications teams. Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering (civil) University of Sydney and a MBA (AGSM). Mark understands key business drivers and brings the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business to identify and implement effective solutions to boost efficiency and customer engagement. From his management consulting background, Mark brings a breadth of experience that includes developing business strategy, re-structures, business acquisitions, and designing and implementing operational efficiency and improvement programs.

BEN FLAPPER

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Ben utilizes his vast experience across various industries of Hire, Retail, Manufacturing and Sales & Marketing coupled with an extensive exposure to Private Equity. Ben holds a B. Comm. (Accounting Major) and a FCPA (Fellow). Since joining the company in 2012, Ben has supported the Company’s growth by providing a strong corporatized platform and new business systems along with the establishment of a Shared Services support Team covering Finance, IT, Compliance,  Treasury, AP & AR functions, Payroll and HR. Ben brings a commercial approach to his role which includes strategic planning, budgets, analysis and reporting capabilities to better help management make informed decisions.

MARIE DULAURENT

GENERAL MANAGER - HUMAN RESOURCES

Marie brings to Precise a wealth of practical HR and industrial relations experience gained over 15 years of working within the mechanical engineering, manufacturing, lighting and service industries. Marie holds a Bachelor Business Degree with Double Major in HR and Industrial Relations, and Master of HR (Distinction). Marie is excited to be working with the Precise Air Group Executive Team in helping to lead a period of operational and cultural change throughout the Group, complementing the team with her combination of the latest theories with real-world experience.

GEOFF MOORE

GENERAL MANAGER - PRECISE FIRE

Geoff has 30 years of experience within the fire and facility management industries. He has held senior roles such as State and General Manager within fire service and contracting businesses, including Spectrum Fire, Chubb Fire, and Fire Fighting Enterprises. Geoff holds Graduate Management Qualifications and a Diploma in Business Management. In addition, Geoff has held National General Manager roles in Facilities Management with Chubb Asset Management services and Johnson Controls.

DANIEL FOSTER

GENERAL MANAGER - NSW / ACT

Daniel has significant experience in General/Executive Management of Operations, Sales and Functional support. His career spans over two decades working for some of Australia’s largest HVAC, fire, security and facility services companies. Daniel is responsible for the operational management and service delivery of Precise Air’s largest service and minor works teams. Daniel takes a mentoring approach to the management of his team, helping to develop the skills and experience required in a fast paced, challenging industry.

DAVID ROSS

GENERAL MANAGER QUEENSLAND / NT

David has developed a successful career within the Fire and HVAC service, commercial contracting and resources segments throughout ANZ and SE Asia.

He has developed extensive experience via his various executive management roles with Wormald and Tyco. David displays a high level of integrity, vision, values and leadership, invaluable to his role as Chairman of Tyco International’s Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) APAC Committee.

David is an experienced, approachable, energetic, customer focused, hands on senior leader with a proven record of project and business profitability, change innovation, effective team building within a safe working environment.

STEFFAN GORING

GENERAL MANAGER VIC / TAS

Steffan brings a wealth of technical and industry knowledge, customer engagement and strategic operational management expertise that he developed in his previous roles with BSA, AG Coombs and Schneider Electric. This skill set aligns perfectly with the needs of our growing business.

Steffan is a highly regarded General Manager responsible for the delivery of quality and responsive mechanical services to clients throughout Victoria and Tasmania.

JOHN JONES

GENERAL MANAGER WA / SA

Responsible for the operational management and business development for Western and South Australia, John is driven to developing high quality maintenance services and managing high performing teams. John holds a Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (MEM30205). John excels in working in partnership with customers, their teams and specialist suppliers to meet shared objectives. His approach reflects his attitude and capability, which sees him as a natural leader whose expertise is drawn upon by people across the company.

WISSAM SALAMA

GENERAL MANAGER BUILDING PERFORMANCE OPTIMISATION / AIRGENE

After leading Precise Air’s Building Performance Optimisation Solutions offering for a number of years, Wissam has added a second role to his responsibilities by also being the General Manager for Airgene. Wissam holds a Master of Engineering Studies and a Master of Engineering Management. An experienced BMS, HVAC and electrical engineer, his diverse technical background lets him apply his skills to a wide range of HVAC, hygiene, compliance and certification requirements. Wissam offers an independent review of clients’ systems and provides effective, sustainable alternatives that de-risk their operations.

ANDREW WAUGH

GENERAL MANAGER - SALES & MARKETING

Andrew is a experienced Sales Professional with a demonstrated history of leading and developing strategies to produce comprehensive responses covering sales strategy, solution, operations, commercial, risk management and legal requirements working in the information technology, construction, and services industries. Skilled in Facility Management, Contract Management, Renewable Energy, and Business Development. A strong sales professional with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) focused in Mechanical Engineering from University of Technology Sydney.

Over his 20 years’ experience in the built environment space, he has both managed project deliveries and lead sales pursuits across a wide spectrum including hospitals, commercial offices, data centres, hotels, correctional facilities, and large scale residential and retail developments.

ALEX HADIGOL

GENERAL MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION

Alex brings a wealth of experience in the HVAC sector, stemming from an international career as a design engineer, project and construction manager for companies that provide a total service package, from HVAC and BMS, through to electrical, fire and hydraulics. This has given Alex a big picture view of the vital importance of the connectivity of services, both in the design and construction phases. Alex has significant experience in ECI and D&C contracting and is passionate about collaborating with clients, including reviewing and advising on consultant drawings to achieve the best possible outcome through the integration and planning of services. His technical experience includes the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment, including pumps, absorption and screw chillers, boilers, air handling units, split units, fan coils, blowers, and tanks. This has enabled him to build skills in conceptual, preliminary and detailed HVAC designs, and wider domain knowledge of associated HVAC applicable codes and standards (eg. ASHRAE, NFPA, ASME, Building Code of Australia (BCA), 1668.1 & 2).

RICHARD BAGNATO

NATIONAL HSEQ MANAGER

Richard has over 20 years of experience in various national health, safety, environment, quality and risk management roles across a wide range of industries – each of which demands exacting standards. They include building services, construction, engineering and manufacturing.

His approach to the successful implementation of health and safety as a core organizational fundamental is through his leadership, strategy, guidance, advice, coaching and mentoring.
