National Arts School

The historic campus of the National Arts School in Darlinghurst is on the grounds of the heritage Darlinghurst Gaol, whose buildings have been adapted for use as artists studios and workshops, lecture halls and tutorial rooms, galleries and a library. The campus has been used as an education space for artists since 1922 and has undergone numerous upgrades throughout its history.

Precise Air worked closely with Prime Projects on the most recent upgrade from ventilation systems to air conditioning in one of the heritage buildings that houses metal/woodwork workshops, sculpture studios, humidity controlled archives, media rooms, lecture rooms and administration.

Prime Projects were awarded the Master Builders Award 2015 for Adaptive Re-use of an Historic Building $5 to $10 million for this project.
